Still Pointは、福山市本郷町にある一日一組限定の宿です。
数寄屋造りの空間で、何もしない時間を過ごす。
欠けていることの中に、美しさがある。
満たさないことの中に、豊かさがある。
2026年1月23日、静かに開きます。
Simply being.
Still Point is a one-group-per-day guesthouse in Hongō-chō, Fukuyama.
Spend time doing nothing in a sukiya-style space.
There is beauty in what is lacking.
There is richness in not being filled.
Opening quietly on January 23, 2026.

かつて鉱山が栄え、温泉街が栄え、そして静寂が戻った本郷町。
その静けさの中に建つ、数寄屋造りの一軒家です。
坪庭、土間、浴室、寝室、パブリックスペース。
一日一組だけの空間。
Hongo-cho — where mines once flourished, hot springs thrived, and now stillness has returned.
A sukiya-style house standing in that quiet.
Tsuboniwa, doma, bathroom, bedroom, and common area.
A space for just one group per day.

12年以上、北アルプス山麓や瀬戸内の国際芸術祭に携わり、国内外のアーティストが土地と出会い、表現する場に立ちあってきました。芸術には存在を素朴な姿へと戻す働きがあると感じてきました。 属性や役割を超えて、ただ在るとはどういうことなのか。 その問いに静かに向き合える場所として、Still Pointを開きました。
For over 12 years, I have been involved with international art festivals in the foothills of the Northern Alps and the Seto Inland Sea. I have stood witness as artists from Japan and abroad encounter the Land and give birth to new expressions.
I believe art has the power to return our existence to its simple, unadorned state. Beyond our attributes and social roles, what does it mean to simply "be"? I opened Still Point as a place to quietly face this question.
